Curiously one of the programs that often comes up that has to be ended is only the name of the city I live in instead of a program name that I recognize, so can't imagine what that might be. Previously this would happen occasionally but not ever like it has lately. When I go to shut down there are always programs listed that have stopped responding and you are asked to click the end now button before it shuts down.

I am rebooting my computer a few times a day now instead of every few days like I used to as I often getting a message saying Windows Explorer has encountered problems and must be shut down, so then I have to reboot the computer. I have run a virus scan and aside from Hijack this triggering the scanner nothing else shows up. Switching from one window to another is also slower, and essentially everything is notably slower. This alone would not be a concern but the computer is running slower and programs often hang and have to be closed through the task manager.
The last little while the fan seems to be spinning up very frequently and even when I don't have much running. My computer has a varaible speed fan that you only hear when it spins up and this only happens when I have way too many applications running.
